Nightshade Memories
Your voice, from the citadel of nightmares,
Screaming from the echoes of the wind,
I hear you, and I feel your faded romance,
The scream your fears; the melody of a harp string.
For all I remember, I remember your brown refined hair,
That danced around, around the winter warmth,
For all I remember, I remember your fallen despair,
That fell down like hail, down to your dying earth.
That island smile, soft as winter's snow,
Smile to me and to the eternal world,
I see you hidden, hidden by each word,
Hiding your painful sorrow.
I say it so, I say it true,
I say it now, I have not forgotten you.
I turn to my shoulder, my shoulder of loneliness,
How it yearns to see your beautiful face,
I turn to my hand, my hand of anguish,
How it craves your gentle touch of grace.
I shift my smile, from joy to my fears,
I kneel once more, down to my knee's I beg
Without your arms holding , I cannot stand,
And I remember those nightshade memories.
Awake you embraced me in your arms,
In sleepless nights, fading in your nightmares
I held you close near heaven's stars,
And you screamed of pain, from my dark caress.
I say it so, I say it true,
I say it now, I have not forgotten you.
Weakened and shattered I remained dead,
My touch could not comfort your flesh,
Slipped through my slick hands to your dreamless bed,
I remained solemn with a shaded vest.
Fall now, while singing your beautiful lament,
Singing to swallow the aid of the world,
Fall now, while embracing your dreadful torment,
And silence your story, your tales untold.
I could not save you from your crippled heart,
I could not wield you with my weak hands,
Chasing you till the heaven's part,
I fall with you, fall unto your shaded lands.
The stars ; the tears of the sky,
Weeping while your eyes cry,
The bass melody of your heart turns me deaf,
So boldly, stopping the winter death,
Chilled and frozen, as the icy glaciers,
Frozen forever, while the spring suffers.
And I remember those terrible chills,
Shall I only remember those nightshade memories.
