Neon Infatuations

Center stage emotions - my eyes won't release
Till I've found reason for an infatuation's peace.

My voice can't seem to lasso higher, can't pull you in
Swore my arms won't get tired as your voice makes me swim
I feel like I could crawl through the caverns,
through the wrinkles caused by your smile
Your presence is intoxicating, a glass o' poison, worthwhile.

I'm swimming in the neon lights, these tides pulling hair
Pull me under, or surface me dry, your gaze a breath of air...

But boy, would I have luck with me, if I won your eyes
A gaze, glance, a skim, perchance, to rave like a lottery prize.

I only have these short-lived moments, hopes spun 'round
Lost inside your brown eyes, two dirt caverns surround
But only you and I would know, they're gems within the walls
Mine them all and give them 'way, to the echos when they call

For now I have but neon infatuations, swallow my heart whole
Bring out the best in me, from within this iridescent soul.
