I believe I saw your footprints in the dew of the grass
How could I have known our time was fleeting past?
Today I saw your smile in the kiss of the sun
How could I have known our lives had just begun?
The leaves on the trees whisper your name
How will my life ever be the same?
Daddy I miss you. Each day I miss you more
How long before I see you standing at Heaven's door?
