Evelyn Bedford

Nature is like mother's hands at work
Always healing forgotten wounds
Holding the most precious life
Waiting to come out of her womb.

Man is like an enemy
Destroying the fruits of the land
Killing animals who are weak in defense
Waiting to get some kind of vengeance.

She hopes that someday soon
Man will come out of his dreadful loon
And open his eyes to realize
Life is a precious thing to lose.
