Native to This Land

In the sky the moon is bright.
It keeps me awake, it's my nightlight.

The wind russles through the leaves on the tree.
I know there is someone watching over me.

On that night, I could have sworn.
I saw the birth of a baby being born.

Alas, I guess it was a mess.
Soon there was a little baby, Tess.

Now I know this was not a dream
Because there is blood in that stream.

What a beauty she really be.
Thank god, the one who was watching over me.
