Myself

Myself:

Sometimes in the midst of the clouds
i stare into the sky
even if i cant see the stars
it's your face gleaming in my eyes

Reflection from my tears
so the sky wont be alone
You were once my friend
my love, my heart, my soul.

But how can you just fade
into a mist of all we build
it's like my heart has been betrayed
with lies and all my guilt.

wondering if i could have done something
to change this awful truth.
But if there really was something,
wouldn't you have been there too?

But now I'm just here gazing
waiting for one last call
filling gaps of emptiness
the ones you've ripped and torn.

and as i realize the truth,
it's a blessing you've went away.
the relationship I've had with you
can properly be replaced.

By someone so pure of heart,
they know the worth of me.
You've lost something so wonderful,
it's time to throw the keys.

the only way to make me strong,
is destruction to build back up.
Thank you for doing the hardest part,
you proved where love comes from.

Because i lost myself with you
the love in me was gone.
remember what you lost that day,
because a new one was reborn.

A relationship with myself
inner beauty i lack NOT
I'm worthy of myself of course
something you can't hold up.

I'm dating myself; so beautiful
I wish i knew before
from now i wont disappoint myself
because i wont ever let MYSELF go.

TO ALL THOSE WHO'VE LOVED AND LOST.
THE BEST-EST FRIENDS AND RELATIONSHIPS WE WILL EVER HAVE AND NEVER NEGLECT IS.

OURSELVES.

Love,
Marie
