My Writer

He sits there,
seeming placid and content,
as if his face possessed
no molecule of emotion, but
I know what belongs in his head,
once, when dead asleep I saw it:
the lawless, creational depths,
not in steps, but slides
further into mystery.

You think his mind is feeble,
conforming, kindly taking
your ideas, but no.
He has become lost in purity
through creation, and
holds to it at every cost
to him, but no further, see,
his heart (for I saw that too)
belonged to me.
