My Sister Died Today

People played in every game. My sister passed away.
The world kept as if the same.
And yet she died today.

People greeted a fresh birth. My sister passed away.
The world kept a silly mirth.
And yet she died today.

People did their daily chores. My sister passed away.
The world kept at all its wars.
And yet she died today.

People traveled to the beach. My sister passed away.
The world kept up any reach.
And yet she died today.

People honored gallant men. My sister passed away.
The world kept a poison-pen.
And yet she died today.

People ate their haute cuisine. My sister passed away.
The world kept on its routine.
And yet she died today.
