My release

I hold my breath in shaking hands
and cast it to the sky,
in hope the stars would understand
and listen to my cry.

I hold my thoughts unto the wind
to take within its fist,
to see the conflict of my mind
entangle with the mist.

I write my voice upon a page
to read it with my eyes,
and hear the hidden liquid rage
within the ink that dries.

I catch the ocean in my heart
its waves beat in my veins,
as water from the deep depart
and through my fingers drains.

I shed my tears into the night
with silver soul and morn,
I loose my sorrow when I write
and smile upon the dawn.
