My Path

I prayed last night for a gift, I prayed
last night for love and you, I got all I
prayed for...prayers do come true.

I've prayed for many things over the span
of many years, money, health, and the
happiness to shed no more tears.

No sign of dryland amidst the river of
anguish and pain, I thought I wouldn't and
I couldn't stay sane.

One night I prayed down on my knees, my
life, my soul, and my future for God to
seize.

My life turned around and my prayers have
come true, my life's going wonderful and God
sent me you.

You cause me to laugh, smile, and silently
enjoy your person, from your presence and
your love there will be no diversion.

I love you.
