My Own Truths

Nothing getting to me
Everything is always questionable
Every word is just sorry
Cause I can't respond back.
You try to reach me playing the offense
I feel like it's pointless no offense
Things aren't what they seem
I got my mind on the cream
Like nothing else matters
My emotions are flattered
Like the dollar of this paper.
I get my hopes up, like an escalator
Then I'm bothered once again
Lips move like my opened eyes under water
Just see the bubbles reaching the surface
Unlike me it's serving a purpose
Why we need it why we need me
It's too early for death to defeat me
I do believe I'll see the inner me
Right now just seeing the cracks
I'm broken like the glass
That boxed me in like a phone booth
I'm having trouble finding my own truth.

The topics I write about are very diverse, so are the poetry styles I apply. I started writing poetry in high school in 05. I had written some poetry during class and showed some of my classmates who enjoyed it! I then was chosen to have my poetry in the school newspaper for each month! I done a lot of my work in the library. I met a woman who i showed my work to that worked there, and she said she knew a man that works on the radio! Then i was able to read two poems off the radio. A news reporter who appeared on the station as well decided to do a report on me and I've been writing ever sense. :) If Anybody want to friend request me on Facebook feel free too! Just look up Jon Otano I should be easy to find! :) more…
