My One Christmas Wish

It was Christmas Eve
When by chance or grace I saw you,
Both of us out buying.
I stopped in obvious awe.
You see, seeing you,
That's all it takes.
The loss of breath, wonder and mystery
The adrenaline that rushes
To my body and my chest.
There are ceaseless thoughts
I know will follow.
And in them I'll trace by memory
Your face, your eyes, that hidden place.
Your body, your neck, your soul...oh.
You see I share the passion born of desire, Hope, and pain,
And the desire for fierce independence you Have fought to gain.
This Christmas given one true wish,
In this life, I will feel your kiss.
