My Night's Melody

The stars shine of bright eyes.
The moon bares the sky's smile.
Stop time and let
The sight stay awhile.

Cold air stings my skin
Wind howls in my ears.
The stars up above
Remind me of past tears.

I wonder if the night mourns,
I wonder if day howls.
I wonder if they get along,
during midnight hours.

Strings of silver moonlight
Shift across the skies,
Time for sun to come out,
And for now the night dies.
