My Icarian Complex

Your matchless beauty is the reflection
Of the fruition of my mind's perfection
A figure unflawed; that moves like a dream
A mystic splendor; renders me speechless

I'm completely enticed; helplessly held
By a trance that is only your allure
To make it mine, the necessary step
But it's evanescently fleeting to me

Every word you speak, a sweet rhapsody
With an angelic beam, so becoming
Only divine artistry could fashion
A living masterpiece such as yourself

With each breath you take, you take mine away
Your sweet scent makes my longing heart flutter
A night made sleepless by vast pondering
A day made by beholding your being

This incipient enchantment a snag
Unless the celestial bodies align
To where your soul is written in my stars
And my life's fate is woven into yours

I look for sleep to find you in a dream
I see your loveliness and gorgeousness;
Lucid purity; excellence so clear
And wake to see it is reality

With my wings of wax, please don't let me fall
To fly too close, a sentence to plummet
To keep my distance, an unchased dream
Dare I even aspire to fly so high?
