My Hearts Folly

It crept on me slowly,
Much like a vine-
unknowingly.
For never was I to know
I had learned to adore you.
I was strucked by pain so great.
Zealously I defy myself,
And oh, I could not bear to take,
Too late...
I had given you my love by mistake.
