My Fantastic Imagination! (Ode to the Isley Brothers)

It is your 'thang'
That keeps me moving
It is your 'thang'
That keeps me hot!
It is your 'thang'
That rolls with thunder
It is your 'thang'
That makes me wonder
The blacker the berry
The sweeter the juice
How I wish I could have touched you in my youth
Could have had your mind singing
Who is that lady?
To an Isley Brother tune
For the love of you
It would be all I could do
I know I would have had
Lots of work to do
Under a midnight sky
I sometimes sit and sign
I wonder how different life could have been
In my musings as I sit
I want to touch your soft, strong lips and
Taste the nectar only our two lips can bring
Hello it is me, I want to sing
Watch the smile spread from your mouth to your eyes as
You touch me, hold me, feel the joy deep inside me
My eyes could never whisper to you a lie
Make me say it again
You and I will never end
In my musings we just lie spent, as
The summer breeze blows
We depart, to live it up, knowing,
We have not finished with
The sexual part!
Fighting the power so that I
Do not stop my imagination
Sometimes I wonder if
I am only loving the one I am with then
I smile to myself
"Girl, you better stop trippin'"
Fire and rain deep in my brain
Get out of my head I must be insane but
This muse must go on until it is finished
Harvest for the world
Could have been me and you
Having cute babies, one maybe two
Could not stand to have too many
It would keep me away from you not
Sharing that special intimacy but every blue Moon when
You would put your arms around me, strip me naked, feel my body
Taste my joy, deep in my core
You could groove with me
Together is more
Just so you understand my fantasy right
Let me explain my mission of delight!
My mission is to please you, squeeze you, tease you
Between the sheets is where I want to be with you
In this caravan of love I am so proud and hungry for you
Nothing but smooth sailing tonight as
Our brown skin touch each other just right
Voyage to Atlantis we both sigh then
You take me to the next phase then I
Feel the pound of savage heat
Through your manly essence
At best you are love
I hear footsteps in the dark
It is not you but a part
Of my imaginings in the wind
Do not say good-night
It is time for love but
Not with you my dark dove
This has all been a part of
My fantastic imagination!

Poetry is what makes me whole and keeps me sane all at the same time. You are born a poet, a storyteller, it is a part of what you are, a great gift from God. You can be taught to put words on paper, only those with a poet's Soul can make you feel those words deeply! I hope all of you feel me. :-) more…
