My dream girl

I lay here awake in my room,

You cross my mind each night,

Each day you look so beautiful,

I never knew I feel like this again,

Even if I been through a heart break,

You just take that pain away,

Make me forget about her and think about you,

Cast a spell over my heart,

Healed it with your love,

Cheered me up when I was down,

Made me laugh when I was mad,

I thought I will never move on for a while,

Until I meet you at that park,

Started talking and thing went good,

Listen to your problems,

Told you mine,

We both looked up at the night sky,

We walked for a bit,

Talked a lot,

You made me feel different,

I acted like I was never hurt,

Acting like I'm fine,

But knew you were hurt,

I want to heal your heart this time,

I want you in my arms instand of her,

Only want you to see,

Maybe I'm the one who saving you,

Instead of you saving me,

Like in the fairly tales we read,

The knight saving the princess of his dream.

Ishmael Balfour Claim this poet

I started to read poems when I was 10 years old and was liking writing poems each day. Years later my mom was happy and glad I was writing small books and poems but sadly I lost her when I was only 15 years old and Remember's Day was the day she passed. Since then it has been two years and I wanted to make a poem group on facebook so I did. Couple months went by and my school started a poem group too so I joined. Friends and teachers told me I made amazing poems couple of my friend said they cried and so did some of teachers too. I kept on writing poems and get 14 followers in my poem group but I wanted more. Now I'm here posting my poems to the world all because of friends, family and teachers for being there for me. Thank you all :) more…
