My Courthouse of Love
You are innocent
Under judgement
Everything I've had to present
In my case
You have replaced
With an answer of validity
Replacing my insecurities
With security
Providing a human spectrum
Of a Godly reality
By simply
Being there for me
You are fantastically amazing
Superbly profound
Every lost article of my existence
You have found
By simply, loving me
Understanding
How sensitive
And how crazy I can be
In my courthouse
You have been proven innocent
In the eyes of my heart
So all the gaps and spaces
In my part
I have to fix, and predict
Circumstances that are
Problematic
Meaning, I have to change
From my party and wild ways
My girlish lost desires
My association with liars
My confusion, when you are the light
That shines so bright
I follow darkness out of choice
Not because I am ignorant
You have shown me
How a man, is suppose to treat
How a man is suppose to give
As far as a moral stand point
And how a man is suppose to live
Even when his options are limited
So who am I to tell you
That your love is not good enough for me?
When you have presented your case for so long
And proven that you are the one to marry
Not to play games or to shatter my heart
Not to lie or tear me to pieces
You believe that our love cannot be defeated
You have... faith...
Now it is up to me, to prove to you
How amazing I am
To show you that, my love is not a scam
That I am worth loving
That you did not toil for nothing
That I will promise you
A love so full of fire
Warm with protection
But as delicate as a rose
Because YOU are the one I chose.
If it were anyone else,
They would face my wrath.
The same path you have walked upon
For many years
But my fears tried to push you away
When you handled every obstacle
That came your way
Not out of a competion
Or a challange
Or that I'm some type of trophy
Simply,
SIMPLY,
Because you love me
And do not want to see ME toiling for nothing.
