My Armour

I stand in an armour of silver and gold
Among the fallen soldiers in the sea of souls
A helmet harboring my insecure mind
Villages burning, ignited by a silent whisper
As I cautiously wander through this blood infested sea
The trees lay down their crowns and slowly turn from me
I grasp for air as the weight of this suit
slowly drags me under water
I’m absorbed by the simplicity of every drop
The simplicity of a lie
I won the battle, I lost it all
Our child is yours.
