My Angel--My Bunso (2)

"God loves me...God loves me...God loves me...."
And I remember so very well, that when there was
One left of its petals, you stopped and looked at me-
Deep in my eyes, and up the clear-blue sky asking,
"Daddy, do you know why God loves me?"
Before I could "come up" with an answer (I must say,
I was quite "taken aback" and really did not know
What to tell you outright), you told me
In the most heartwarming and mellifluous utterance
I have ever heard coming from you, my bunso,
"Because I love my Daddy, very much!"
And the last petal, after you kissed, you plucked straightaway,
Cheerfully saying (in "ultra-high" crescendo),
"And Daddy loves me!!!"
I'm misty-eyed now, just remembering. And knowing
Me like you know me, you know the truth...
I'm really crying. And yes, hard and heartfelt!
