Moving Forward

For only a moment of your time
listen to this story of mine
about life pieced apart,
life from end to start,
to help you from a current decline.

Time stops for you to understand,
do you refuse to see? Refuse to look?
I’ve laid myself on the line,
take this as a sign,
follow the truth, give back what you took.

Over and over and over again,
the same mistake, the same old plan,
turning and tossing in sleep
you let the problems seep, seep, seep.

You can’t go back, only move forward,
don’t fall out, pull on through,
people can change,
