Mother

She fed you she clothed you but you couldn't
give back to her what she gave to you.
She made sacrifices so you were never in want
She made choices that tore her heart apart.
Many a night she stayed awake thinking,
How will my morning start?
But you couldn't give back to her what
She gave to you.
Sometimes the food was scarce,the cupboards
bare but she always managed you a morsel,
before she took her share.
But then she grew old and gray,
You denied her and turned away.
Left alone, in a lonely way to die.
Because you wouldn't give back to her what She gave to you.
