Mother
I stood in the doorway looking at your beautiful face
Remembering your arms wrapping me in your sweet embrace
When I didn't feel well, when I did something good or
When you tucked me in like you always would
You corrected me when I was wrong and
Sometimes I thought you were mean
However now that I have my own children
You're not as mean as you seemed
I thanked God for the moments that we have had
I thanked Him for everyday and every night
Then I ask Him for just a little more time
To walk with you in this life
You are the greatest
Moms like you are few and far between
You have more compassion than most that I have seen
Thank you, for correcting me, being there and
Leading me the right way
Mom, I love you more than I could ever say
