Moonlit Path (2)
You steer me through the forest
Along our little path,
We had worked so hard on,
Rocks fit we chose through math.
The moonlight makes the setting,
As we watch for shooting stars.
Our other life we run from every night,
Mark us like scars.
You hold my hand and whisper,
" I love you, anyway."
You really have no idea,
How that makes my day.
We scoot closer to each other on the big rock,
And share a simple kiss.
You've always understood,
My ways of both agony and bliss.
"I love you, anyway, too." I whisper slowly back.
Your eyes dance happy.
We know our relationship
Is no where near sappy.
