Moon-Dog - (Mythical free verse)

Moon-dog
Running through the night
Eyes
Like burning fire
What do you yearn
When
The moon is full
What is your souls desire
They say
That you were noble
And died
To save your land
But your victors
Cursed your very soul
By the
Devils evil hand
They said
You was a handsome prince
Who ruled
These honest plains
But how long
Have you roamed these hills
The mystery remains
A silhouette of ghostliness
Against
The midnight sky
Running through the moonbeams
To
The hilltops high
And when
You've reached the highest peak
Your long lost lands
You see
And the nearest place to
Heavens light
On earth you'll ever be
Moon-dog
Roaming in the night
That's his destiny
I wish I had those magic words
To set
His spirit free
Moon-dog howling soft and low
Into
The still night air
Moon-dog howling soft and low
Could it be
A prayer.
