Money & Dreams

Im used to having money.
Born into a life that constantly drains from me.
Stuck with the difficult task to build.
But often times, its rock bottom I feel.
Comfortable at the bottom, but i refuse to stay there.
I didnt ask to be born, and its too late, im already here.
Financial struggles sometimes bring forth tears.
A pattern of continually struggling for years.
It cost to be born, die, and live.
Money is evil and provides some to the greatest luxuries and joy.
I wish I had saved all the dollars ive collected since I was a little boy.
But now im fully grown.
With responsibilities to handle of my own.
Too bad money is created rather than grown.
Im not sure why money means so much.
I know that I wish on stars for piles of it to touch.
I need money to continue living out my dreams.
I live beautifully, but my dreams painted a prettier scene.
Money and dreams and beautiful things.
In the center is where id like to be.
Money and dreams, sounds selfish of me.
Ive got a plan, just wait, watch, and see.

{Contact Information mfisher20019@gmail.com (202) 903-5527}Im Michael, 26 year old Washington DC native new to the poetry community. Initially i was scared to try the poetry thing for public view....people and decisions that have been made, make it somewhat difficult to step out on a limb and express such talent. Typically my writing come from internal thoughts and feelings towards certain situations. My completed pieces of work are typically finished within minutes of the idea of the piece...I hope everyone can find something enjoyable about my work.. I welcome advise in reference to my work, as this is a new venture for me. Thanks to all my readers more…
