As the tempo increased
She started to think
About life and love
How moments just pass by in a mere blink

Just a moment ago she was just a child
So innocent and pure
How time has just flied

Broken and shattered her life has become
Now feeling so numb
To pain and emotions
Drowning away in an bottle of rum

She had no way to deal with the shame
No other way she knew
So she put the bottle to lips
Cos it's the only way she knew
