Mistress Of the Sea

Standing upon the rocks, I look out to sea
as the ships sail from my home, in search of
brave new worlds.
The sea beckons me to venture upon her
crest of blue, but my heart is held captive
by my love for you.
Let the young seekers set out to sea, for I
have traveled many voyages of her vast waters
with my sails of white cast against blue
gray skies, morning and night.
I have found peace in my heart and the joy
of your smile.
But when my time has ended, commit my body
to the sea.
There I'll sleep beneath her dark waters
of the deep.
