Mine heart breaks
Eros why?
Imprudent and unwise
Foolishly flinging thy barbs so blind
Intoxication of thy prominence or of thy pride?
Eros, my heart! Why oh, why?
Stab and kill me, let me die!
My cheeks have all but, turned to brine
Is not love the cruelest façade, just another lie?
Once the Fiercest warrior in the land, yes he was I
Then thy arrow, tis the courage to traverse the aisle
The request of her hand, then she cried
Happiness I thought but, sorrow why?
Her presence now a memory when twilight nigh
Cupid, fiendish, trifling sprite
The game of casting thy darts has gone awry
I say, cease your quest if you value your life
I will come for thee under next moon glow tide
Tis broken heart has turned to ire!
Eros, aye?
Heed the warning and I will cheer thy absence, fly, swiftly fly
