Midway

Mid-September crows
 The annals do remember
 The devotion of the Spring
 The Summers careless temper
 Sluggish is the future
 Cheapening the now
 Anxiety is all
 It can and will allow
 So I feel the cool
 The plume of Winters heel
 Taking from the day
 What it vainly sealed
 Laid upon the shoulder
 Terror in its sting
 With the purpled charm
 Of an undone king
 September shades the eve
 Dawn my raze the night
 Lead the sky to grieve
 Hold to nothing tight
 Where the moon can tell
 What the devils know
 October won't forget
 What September crows!
