I am not young
I am not pretty
I am not slender
But I still have dreams

I am not rich
I am not insolvent
I am not poor
But I could use some more money

I am not lacy
I am not immobile
I am not working
But I have lots to do

I am not intolerant
I am not stubborn
I am not lonely
But I would love to have some more friends

I am not old
I am not ugly
I am not fat
But I still have dreams

Heidrun Kordholste-Nikander

I was born in Germany in 1960. I lived in Germany, Finland, and California and have visited many European countries. I currently live in Germany, but I would like to return to the US. I started writing poems in California inspired by the beautiful nature. I have a master degree in forestry and North American Studies.
