Metallic Paint!
Mother had been growing her hair for years,
it was so long now we could make thick rope
and climb the Eifel tower if we wished,
she was so proud of it that she cried pools
when she awoke to find I'd cut it off
to make a down payment on my new car -
a green Lamborghini was my idea
of Heaven in a wicker hand basket,
she looked rather good being bald, I thought,
but of course I'm always wrong in her eyes.
To further the transaction I sold Gran,
she was pretty ancient anyway so
didn't need to be in that big house all
alone with those decrepit antique chairs,
I got a decent price for her age too,
and even more for the old property,
the furniture was a bit of a pain,
though each single penny to my dream counts.
My dad owned a second hand clothes business,
until I sneakily stole the deeds from
the family safe and auctioned it off,
finally I had enough to get my
brand spanking new automobile - I wept
when I got to the car dealership place
for they had knocked it down and built a shop
that sold nothing but bright needles and pins,
which was where the police caught up with me,
apparently I was banging my head
against the brick wall and throwing money
in the air whilst screaming something about
life being totally unfair, it sucked,
still, I am happier now in my new
residence; wallpapered with wheels and clouds,
I even get to watch a film each day,
if I'm good and do not mention ever,
metallic paint or winding country roads!
