memories

remember all the time that we let by
dry your tears and try not to cry
remember all those words I shared with you
and know that they'll always be true

We let each day pass us by
and we never get the nerve to ever ask why
Why things never seem to turn out right
or why the walls are all painted white

So we just lay under the sheets
and we sleep away our long lives
with the tears streaked down our faces
broken -- broken -- ties

Blindly we rush into foolish hands
held on tight and clamped around our heart
is this all according to all our plans
broken hearts seem to always play their part

But never let this get to your head
remember that we aren't dead
Try to look to the light instead
And remember all those words I said.
