Map to the Future

Feelings come and seasons go,
But visions are all that I see
Of what used to be between
The world and me.
All I can do is go to church
And light a candle
To see the one who
Hovers mother earth.
Songbirds sing melodies
Filled with colors of
A rainbow that has its own flavor.
We learn to dance to the music
Of our time; yet, we follow in
The footsteps of our ascendants
Whose wisdom guides us through
Waters from which
We take in breaths of annimosity.
One can only keep searching for
That golden valley that will
Take us back to the age of reason.
