Magnanim-us

Len Lewis 1943 (Port of Spain, Trinidad)

Love is truly magnanimous
I may not like what you do
But I don't make a fuss
I keep my eyes on the bigger prize
The other things that first filled my eyes
My mind my soul and then my heart
To ensure that you and I never part
For better for worse that was the vow
No way am I going to be breaking that now
Sometimes you”ll'be in a different mood
There's a way to account for the strange attitude
Some things are easy to overlook
For others you open and read the good book
Confrontation is sometimes the requisite fix
To diffuse a potentially volatile mix
For Pent-up emotions someday will blow
Taking our love where it should never go
