of your purity

consciousness was lost
somewhere in sensual euphoria
like doves in silvered snow
we were stranded in each other
with only heat to melt us home

ivory dripped as pearls
rippled across the candescence
of impassioned crystals
and I harvested the promise of a sequel

each odd stanza is mine
each even is Dan's
