Lurid

I've been in my bed for quite a few days now.
I can't tell if I'm just having a bad week
Or if I'm getting bad again.

I've been having those thoughts again.
You know which ones I'm speaking of.
These voices in my head keep trying to manipulate me.

They're telling me one thing
While I'm trying to think another.
They won't stop hollering at me.

Why can't I get out of this bed?
Maybe the voices will stop if I go outside.
But the sun is too bright.

Brightness reminds me of happiness.
Happiness reminds me that I am not.
This lurid room isn't helping either.
