Loving neice

I waited ten years for this wonderful day
And just before it arrived my loved ones went away
Life started pushing and pulling giving them no choice
In their hearts they wanted to stay and rejoice

But in life sometimes the path is choosen for you
When it's all said and done to yourself you must be true
No bridesmaid, no female left that I call friend
That's when you answered my prayer, love you did send

You stepped up and filled the sadly open space
As though you were my child you gave loving embrace
You did all you could to help me prepare for life's gift
All the details you handled, worries you did lovingly lift

You took care of me as others would have done
And though I was so nerves you lovingly made it fun
You stood by my side till the last vow was spoken
You gave all you had to give not merely token

You helped make this day so  blessed, so complete
You took away the emptiness, sadness you did defeat
I will never forget all you did,  truly love you so
Love you gave so freely giving more peace than you know

Thank you so much baby girl I love you so much

Tamara Hart

hello I am a 50yr old mother of five and grandmother of seven. i just recently married my best friend of ten years, i dont know what took us so long, all i know is that we were meant to be he is truly my soul mate. about 20yrs ago i wrote all the time i managed to put together a book of poems called growing pains but as i am poor at spelling and punctuation and there was no such thing as lap tops and no spell check i trusted a close friend to edit it, i failed to keep my own copys why i dont know well i never saw her or the book again. most of the poems were painful dark heart felt poems because my life was in a really bad place and i felt like a fool for trusting her. well i refused to write after that for a long time then life started getting better as i grew and searched intill i found my self i started thinking about writing again but as i had only written from a place of intense pain i had no idea where to start so i wasted 20yrs of living what i now realize could have been great verse. than on the night of my wedding i wrote two souls joining and my new husband got his first look at my verse and was impressed {of course he is biased] i often tell him that if the world could see me thru his eyes life would be a trip. well anyways he started encouraging me to to atleast write ten min a day. well that was sept 13th and i feel as tho i have found my voice again and this time i found my self able to write both happy and sad. i look forward to sharing my work with all of you and injoying all your wonderful writes as well. and who knows maybe someday i will come across a book of poetry called growing pains and all that will matter is that its being read. i wish you all many great writes and i thank you all from the bottem of my heart for the time you spend reading my work thank you for the input. be blessed more…
