A sleeping sun awakes,
resurrecting the dawn.
And day's dawning provides
a clean slate to write on.

You want to believe love
lasts an eternity.
Yet hope struggles amidst
bouts of uncertainty.

In dreams it's dramatic,
in both body and soul.
And yet in truth it can
levy a costly toll.

Though happiness abounds,
love remains elusive.
And it's existence is
somewhat inconclusive.

Yet if you don't believe,
true love may cease to be.
And if an illusion,
it can't set your heart free.
