My mind grasps your words
Which you speak in truth
Along with all your reasons why
But to my breaking heart
It only proves you are attempting
To pacify your own heart
But the memory of our love will never die
It lingers in the heart
It is a memory that counts
Love makes an impression
That becomes an expression
Which we can never forget
Both the good and the bad
Of what we had
Is now a part of who I am
