Love Lost, Love Found <3

I first saw your face,
Where the band was playing loud.
And it felt like time and space
Had stopped. Leaving only you in the crowd.

My cheeks burned hot,
A smile spread across my face.
My only thought was that I did not
Ever want to leave this place.

You then looked back
At me with those green eyes.
My heart was under attack.
What a cruel, yet sweet surprise.

I was truly mesmerized
By your amazing smile.
It took all I had, I tried and tried,
Just to not stop and stare for awhile.

Suddenly, it's time to go.
My friends led me toward the door.
I was too scared to speak, so I guess I'll never know
Your name. I stared regretfully at the floor.

'What if I never saw you again?'
Was a question I asked myself a lot.
If only I could reverse time's bend,
Then stare at the floor in your presence, I would not.

For weeks and weeks I did worry,
Never see your face again, would I?
But if I should see you, that time had better hurry,
Because I regret silently passing you by.

Then on a cold, December Saturday,
An angel appeared before my eyes.
Because walking into that cozy, Italian cafe
Was you, and again I was mesmerized.

At that moment, my heart stopped beating.
You saw me too, from over there.
And at the thought that we would finally be meeting,
I knew God had answered my prayer.
