Love Letter To God

Dear Lord,

It’s me, your child who has stumbled through life, bruised knees, bleeding heart and all

Here I am again

It amazes me the patience You so graciously have shown me, I know You anticipated my every fall

And here I am again

Each time You allowed me my time to whimper and cry, I licked each and every wound inside and out

Yet here I am again

Slowly but surely each time I’ve picked myself up, dusted off excess rubble, yet whining poured from my mouth

Oh, here I am again

Stubborn and all knowing I have been for far too long and now I am truly tired to walk this same road

Here You are again

You are never changing in Your Love or Your Word that I have read, heard and in my heart I know

And here You are again

The love You have for me will always exceed my understanding but I embrace all that You are

Yet here You are again

No matter how crooked my path I’ve traveled or the pit that engulfed me, You healed all my scars

Oh, here You are again

I am Yours, sometimes broken, sometimes I shine, but Lord with all my heart I want to follow You

My yesterdays You’ve forgiven, Today my faith is trusting Your Will, tomorrow and forever I will walk beside You

Here We Are Together, Amen

Your Child,

Maylinda Jane McRae

I haved live in Georgia all my life. I have four beautiful children and five grandchildren,an amazing man in my life named Scott. God has also blessed me with many loving family members and friends. God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share with others how amazing he is and the grace that he wants to bestow on others. I have been writing since I was a little girl, it has always helped me to express myself whether it was during a storm or a victory in my life. My prayer is that my poems will help someone who may be going through a storm or celebrate a vicotry in life. more…
