Lost at Church

I never thought you could be alone in Church,
Yet, I have found you can.
When everyone sings like the choir
and not so much like the man.
The hearts are not together so much
People are not liking a hug or a touch.
I see the church getting bigger
donations being made,
but family's falling apart for their
lives cannot be saved.
Why not make the church small but large in God's eye,
And give the money back to the people
who need help,
And ease some of the suffering and cries.
I am sure God is in the church,
just a little bit misplaced,
Forget about the business,
And bring back our God's grace!

Sharon

I have loved books and writing since I was a child. I don't write really not books. But when I feel something in my heart I must write about it even if it is not agreed upon by everyone. I love poetry. I used to write everyday, but sometime ago that stopped. I was raised by an Italian American mother, who was quite beautiful. She also wrote poetry. So I guess I inherited it from her. My poetry comes from all aspects of life, my own or others. Love, Sadness, joy... So enjoy, this is all I have to leave this earth or those who read poetry. more…
