Look at Us Now

I thought we'd always be together
I thought we could prove them wrong
I thought love lasts forever
But Im the brokenhearted one.

You tell me you love me too ,uch to say
That you've all together lost your love
Why'd you have to go and hurt me that way?

Today I'm having a funeral
A dear friend of mine has died
My heart has shattered to pieces
And Im the one who's dead inside

My love was growing strong as ever
Till you came and broke the news to me
Now I'm sitting sorrowfull
I feel sorry for you and me.

We could've done something more
To make this work somehow
We could've had our heads on straight
Now you can laugh, look at us now.

A joke, a game, just something we called love
And if you ask me twice about it
I'll say all of the above.

The bullet's in, the gun is cocked
You shot it ever so nicely
You've gone ahead and ended it
With so much spite inside.

I don't think I've ever seen someone
Pretend to care as much as you do
I really think you love your game
It's what your eyes are glued to.

I don't want to hate you
I really can't explain
How sorry I would be to be you
Maybe I would feel the same.

If I could have just a bit of input
I'd try to figure out
Why you've turned so cold to me
Something to joke about.

A moly piece of cheese bread
Is how I feel right now
It's probably why your leaving
Oh, boy, look at us now.
