Life in 8 Stanzas

Fire of love
Ice of pain
Ashes of romance
Tears like rain
burnt and then frozen
turned into ash
washed from under
my eyelash

Its the cycle
we call life
born and raised
become a wife
have some babies
raise them well
be good so you dont
burn in hell

break the pattern
what really matters
find a dream
you can chase after
spend life trying
accomplish your goals
become famous
sell your soul

live and love
party hard
grow up and buy a
house and yard
if you're lucky
you'll do fine
if your're not
youll lose your mind

break and fix
hurt and forgive
after all we've only
one life to live
life your glass
raise a toast
to the ones you
love the most

live your life
enjoy your time
pinch your penny
spend your dime
be good robots
fall in line
work work work
till five from nine

in the end
what do you gain
is it worth
all of the pain?
you can't take it
when you die
so what's important
at least say I- is

Fire of love
Ice of pain
ashes of romance
tears of rain
burnt then frozen
turned to ash
washed from under
my eyelash

Anima Sola

Everything you need to know about me can be found in my poetry. I don't know if it is exactly healthy, but when I write, sometimes, I feel like a part of me is gone forever, wrapped around each word on the page or screen that I can visit when I feel nostalgic for it. I invite anyone who likes what they read to follow me on facebook and youtube. Facebook is easy... Carmen.Alegria1 youtube... just search for grevenya. Thank you, everyone who reads this stuff and reviews... or even just reads and understands, you make it seem less futile to express myself. more…
