One day
You'll fly away
from our nest
keeping warmth in our hearts

your soft voice
murmur in our ears
blinking eyes with happiness
We'll keep the memories
treasured in our hearts

the way you came in to our world
the joyous gift
we ever got
The scent of love
fragrant in our house

You'll leave our nest
to yours
to a wife..
to smiling children
will feel the same warmth
as we did
when we have you with us

this is life... my son
the reality; we all face
