Liers

Sandy white beaches lie to my face,
Gritting their teeth.
Promising good times only
But I see through their beautiful disguise.
They are tarnished and deadly,
A watery grave.
A thousand lives expect not
What I saw that day.
A tragedy too cold
To even want to remember.
As the life of him drained away,
I'll never forget that day
When I floated in the sea.
It had tarnished, just like me.
