Lets Create Life

I marvel at life and the creative mind,
Its quite remarkable just what I find,
A few roots from out of the ground,
Reflect with vision a new model found.

A pair of scissors a mandarin or two,
Cut and shape then a character new,
Bold and bright a speculative story,
There standing aloof a new found glory.

Things like this are colours plus,
Piece it together no drama or fuss,
Think about plots what have you got?
Starting a series a whole new lot.

Where to next its piece by piece,
Use your imagination let it increase,
Out of nothing such a feature emerges,
The pulse of life it moves and surges.

My spring onions in use at last,
Those little seeds from out of the past,
Sown and matured placed between bread,
Butter and cheese that's what I'm fed.
About this poem;-
I had bought these spring onions to make into a
salad but did not use them and when I decided
to place them between a sandwidch I noted
their possibilities, the result was creating a model
with the onion roots for hair and an orange for

a base. This could well be a new cartoon character.

I have been writing poems for forty years and written about all sorts of things. Somehow I get creating streaks and can write up to 4 or 5 poems at once of varying subjects. I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
