Let's Dance!

Slide trombone, polished brass
Push the notes, fill the air
Something's good, moving mass
Left and right, handsome pair
Let's dance!

Trumpet tunes, off key notes
Never mind, shuffle shoes
Girls and boys, no warm coats
Play the jazz, no down blues
Let's dance!

Midnight comes, but who cares
Daylight soon, then we work
Before dawn, whisk the snares
Drink the time, let her perk
Let's dance!

Microphone, feedback fright
Raise the voice, crack a wall
Band is done, played all night
Worn out feet, had a ball
We danced
