Let us dream

Karolina Marszałkowska 1993 (Gdańsk)

I always dreamt of a perfect love
But it's like fighting a stone with a glove
Stone would never break revealing the jewel
And like this I would just keep dreaming forever

But you woke me up with a smile on your face
I knew you were the one I wanted to embrace
I knew you were real, perfect in your own way
Only with you I could spend day after day

But dream made me a fool, that wasn't truth
You were never here, false love just flew
I woke once again this time for sure
And there was cold world , so empty and poor

I started to move, ready to get up
I had to go to work , make a breakfest asap
I opened my eyes and what I saw was my dream
Smile of a man that couldn't be here

But I felt that touch warm as sun on my cheek
And I heared words my ears were eager to hear
If it's a dream I don't care anymore
Just please let me dream a little bit more
